Base

We are pleased to announce that a sustainability team has been established at Fjord Base. Sustainability covers a wide range of topics – from social conditions and climate and environmental issues to ethical and economically responsible corporate governance. Therefore, we are proud to present a strong team with diverse professional backgrounds.

The team consists of Ingvild Hovland, Børge Nordal, Marthe Opheim, and Lauritz Isaksen. Together, they will develop a comprehensive sustainability report for Fjord Base Group for 2025. In addition, they will advise management on social and environmental sustainability, as well as establish and follow up on concrete goals. The team will coordinate initiatives to reduce Fjord Base’s climate and environmental footprint and help take an important step toward becoming a greener base.

Ingvild Hovland leads the team with confidence and a clear sense of direction. HSE will remain a core value at Fjord Base, and Ingvild will ensure that this is well documented in the sustainability report. Børge Norddal, with solid experience and expertise in IT and digitalization, will be responsible for cybersecurity and the development of a structured platform for collecting and visualizing sustainability data.

Marthe Opheim brings valuable HR expertise and will focus on work environment, diversity, ethics, and competence development in the reporting work. Lauritz, our new sustainability trainee, holds the academic responsibility for the sustainability report, climate accounts, and mapping of the company’s climate and environmental footprint. He will also coordinate the team’s work to ensure strong progress.
