Solid kompetanse til Fjord Base-teamet. Vi ønsker Hanne Sølvi Rønnekleiv og Benjamin Nielsen varmt velkommen som nye kollegaer.
Fjord Base is experiencing a high number of applicants for the positions we advertise, making HR Manager Marthe Opheim happy.
We have recently been working on several recruitment processes and have now signed with several strong candidates. Our HR department has just wrapped up a busy spring, and soon we’ll be welcoming eight new faces to our team.
The advertised positions have been varied, and span across many different fields. We have brought in new colleagues in logistics management, finance, business development, and technical services.
Right now, we’re also in the process of recruiting even more talent—including a mechanic, board secretary, and an IT systems developer. At the same time, we’ve signed an exciting new trainee position focused on sustainability. In this article, you’ll get to know some of the new additions to our team, and hear HR Manager Marthe Opheim’s thoughts on renewing the organization.
Hanne Sølvi Rønnekleiv has joined us as the new team lead for our controller department, starting on a Monday in May. Hanne Sølvi has a background in both finance and administration, and is a state-authorized accountant. In her new role, she will focus on systems and improvements, and take a fresh look at existing processes.
“Hanne Sølvi brings a lot of exciting experience to this position. I think we will learn a great deal from her, and I’m happy to have her on board,” says HR Manager Marthe.
“I look forward to helping develop the finance functions of the future and streamlining our processes. It’s inspiring to work in a strong professional environment where we can create great solutions together,” says Hanne Sølvi.
Benjamin Nielsen started as a business developer with us in May. Originally from Denmark, Benjamin has lived in Norway for many years with his family and now resides in Sande in Sunnfjord. He holds a master’s degree in economics and business administration from Copenhagen Business School. With his extensive experience as a business developer and sales manager, both nationally and internationally, we have gained a valuable resource who will actively contribute to growth and further development. Working alongside the rest of the business development team, he will collaborate closely with sales and help the company achieve its future ambitions.
“The low hierarchy here means we are close to the decision-making as employees. That gives me the opportunity to use my passion for both sustainability and technology to develop future-oriented energy solutions for our customers in the oil and gas industry. I’m especially excited to contribute to Fjord Base Group’s goal of becoming a zero-emissions base,” Benjamin shares.
Andreas Jessen Berglie has been hired as technical services specialist. Andreas will be a familiar face to many, having spent the last 18 years working for ITM/Parker Wellbore. He holds three trade certificates: logistics, surface treatment, and sales, and brings relevant experience from both practical and administrative work. Technical services is an important area of focus for us, and with Andreas joining as technical lead, we are building further on a solid foundation. Andreas has many years of experience at the base, a strong network, and great knowledge of how things work. Now we will continue to build on this foundation and scale up activity through a greater sales focus and innovative thinking
We have also brought in our very first sustainability trainee. Lauritz Isaksen from Telemark is moving to Florø with his partner this summer. He will work broadly with sustainability at Fjord Base Group, and this is the first time we have advertised a position dedicated solely to this area.
“With two master's degrees, one in social anthropology and one in international environment studies, we have recruited a candidate we’re very pleased with. Lauritz is skilled and sociable, and we look forward to having him on the team,” says Marthe enthusiastically. And perhaps we’ve also recruited a true multitalent? He can play several instruments— and if you attended Vesle Kinn on May 31, maybe you saw him perform with Vilnes?
With our ambitions for growth and development, our recruitment needs have also evolved. That’s why we take a long-term and strategic view when advertising new positions, with our eyes set firmly on the future and all the opportunities it brings. We are also committed to recruiting people who share our core values—reliability, innovation, and team spirit.
We have received many strong applicants for all the different positions advertised. For us in the HR department, that’s a luxury problem and also a confirmation that we are an attractive employer. It shows that the effort we put into recruitment and employee development, along with a good working environment, is paying off. With a strengthened team in place and ambitious plans for the future—combining new expertise with the solid experience already in the organization—we look forward to an exciting journey ahead, together with current and future colleagues, concludes Marthe.
